I owe it to New Orleans
For 7 years I lived in Southern Louisiana, I went to the Jazz festivals, Mardi Gras, ate shrimp, appreciated one of the most beautiful women all over New Orleans, went to Pink Floyd and Rolling Stones concerts, ran into more transvestites than any place in the world, ate gumbo, wandered around French Quarter, saw albino crocodile at the aquarium, ate poboy, saw nude girls on the street, went to D-Day museum, attended a wedding at the French Quarter, saw the glory of Jazz at Preservation Hall, brought Hurricane at Pat O'Brien, many times was the guest of New Orleanians in their houses, and felt the heart and kindness of New Orleans.
Please help New Orleans to get back on its feet.Or through this gateway. Please do not forget other towns in Louisiana and Mississippi affected by Hurricane Katrina - the human beings as well the animals.
Anne Rice puts it better than I can:
It will come back.
